Proton partners with the Nghe An youth pickleball team.
On the morning of July 9th, in Vinh Phu ward (Nghe An province), Proton Sports Vietnam, Zerotech, and VPI officially launched VPI Powered by Proton Nghe An and signed an agreement to partner with the Nghe An youth pickleball team to participate in the national competition system in 2026.
Attending the program were representatives from the Nghe An Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Provincial Sports Training and Competition Center, Proton Sports Vietnam, VPI - Vietnam Pickleball Incubator, the coaching staff of the Nghe An youth pickleball team, along with numerous coaches, athletes, parents, and the pickleball community in the province.
The launch of VPI Powered by Proton Nghe An is expected to mark the beginning of building a professional pickleball ecosystem in the locality. With a strong sporting tradition and a thriving pickleball movement in recent years, Nghe An has been selected by Proton Sports Vietnam, Zerotech, and VPI as one of the key locations to implement this model. Besides bringing genuine Proton products to players, VPI Powered by Proton Nghe An aims to train young athletes, develop a team of coaches, organize tournaments, and build a civilized and professional pickleball community.
At the event, representatives from Proton Sports Vietnam presented the decision to establish VPI Powered by Proton Nghe An to Mr. Tran Duc Thanh, who will be directly responsible for implementing and developing the model in Nghe An.
One of the key highlights of the event was the signing ceremony for a partnership between Proton Vietnam, Zerotech, VPI, and the Nghe An youth pickleball team, who are preparing to participate in the national competition system in 2026.
Accordingly, Proton Sports Vietnam will sponsor training and competition supplies for the coaching staff and young athletes from Nghe An participating in the 2026 National Youth Pickleball Championship in Da Nang in July.
At the ceremony, the coaching staff of the Nghe An youth pickleball team and partner organizations agreed on the goal of building a professional training environment, creating conditions for young athletes to access quality equipment, systematic training methods, and have more opportunities to compete in major tournaments. The partnership with Proton Sports Vietnam, Zerotech, and VPI is expected to contribute to improving the quality of training, developing young athletes, and spreading a civilized competition culture, team spirit, and professionalism in the Nghe An pickleball movement. This will also be an important source of motivation for the Nghe An youth pickleball team to aim for high achievements in the national competition system in 2026.
On this occasion, the Organizing Committee also honored outstanding young Pickleball athletes from Nghe An for their remarkable achievements in the past period; and presented equipment and training tools to the Nghe An youth Pickleball team.
