Ibrahimovic's brace helped PSG thrash Lyon 5-1 in the late match of Ligue 1's 18th round.

Ibrahimovic opened the scoring for PSG in the 11th minute before defender Serge Aurier doubled the lead. Lyon equalized in the first half through Jordan Ferri.

However, that was Lyon's only goal of the entire match. In the second half, Ibrahimovic completed his brace, and goals from Edison Cavani and Lucas Moura helped PSG seal a 5-1 victory.

The emphatic victory against Lyon solidified PSG's top position in Ligue 1. The Parisian club is now 17 points ahead of second-placed Angers, even though the first half of the season is not yet over.

With PSG's victory, Ibrahimovic also rose to the top of Ligue 1's scoring charts with 14 goals.

PSG remains undefeated in Ligue 1 this season. Historically, no team in Ligue 1 has ever finished a season unbeaten. PSG has won the title in the last three seasons and has no real competition this season.

In round 18, Monaco overtook Caen to climb to third place. Monaco has 31 points, level with second-placed Angers but behind on goal difference.
