Putin: A series of Russian weapons systems have no rivals
The effectiveness of weapons in Syria shows that the Russian army is one of the best equipped in the world; some weapons systems have no rivals, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on January 30.

"According to the Defense Ministry's data, 215 types of modern and promising weapons, as well as most of the Russian military equipment, were used in Syria," Putin said, noting that "these weapons have confirmed their high characteristics."
Mr Putin stressed that a range of Russian weapons systems have no equal."The defeat of well-equipped terrorist groups in Syria demonstrates the power of our army and navy," Putin said.
According to the Russian President, the operation "demonstrated the traditional reliability and high efficiency of Russian weapons".
However, he also noted that it is necessary to carefully and in the most detailed way analyze how Russian weapons and equipment have operated in different situations to identify and overcome weaknesses.
