Qatar plans to spend $200 billion on the 2022 World Cup.
Russian Ambassador to Qatar Nurmakhmad Kholov said that Russia will help Qatar in preparing for the 2022 World Cup. Specifically, Russia will assist Qatar in building stadiums and organizing World Cup events.

Nurmakhmad Kholov also revealed that Qatar plans to spend at least $200 billion on the 2022 World Cup to demonstrate its power.
Qatar makes no secret of its expectation that the World Cup to be held in the country in four years' time will far surpass the 2018 World Cup held in Russia. (The World Cup in Russia cost a total of $12 billion).
