The Qijing sports coupe, a collaborative product between GAC and Huawei with an expected price of 3 million RMB, has officially entered nationwide testing in China.
The first model from Qijing Auto enters the testing phase.
Qijing Auto, a premium new energy vehicle brand, has just announced that its first model has begun nationwide testing. According to Liu Jiaming, CEO of Qijing Auto, this is a shooting brake-style sports coupe positioned in the price segment of approximately 3 million yuan (equivalent to $414,000).
Huawei CEO Liu Jiaming and Jin Yuzhi, CEO of Huawei's Smart Automotive Solutions division, personally drove the test version of this model. This event marks a significant step in the product development process before its market launch.
Brand positioning and outstanding technology
According to the announcement, the Qijing coupe will focus on three main elements: "million-dollar beauty, million-dollar performance, and million-dollar intelligence." This is also the first project to be implemented in Huawei Qiankun's "Jing" product line, promising to deliver high-end technologies and driving experiences.
Strategic partnership between GAC and Huawei
The Qijing brand is the result of a strategic partnership between GAC Group and Huawei Qiankun, with the project reportedly scheduled to launch in January 2025. The joint venture aims to build a smart and premium new energy vehicle brand that operates completely independently from GAC's existing brand portfolio.
The joint development teams from both sides are in the final stages of making in-depth adjustments to ensure the product reaches consumers of the highest quality. According to the plan, this model will officially launch and begin deliveries to customers in June 2026.
