Special forces police raided six massage parlors and sex cafes, rescuing girls who were being held captive.
On May 18th, Ho Chi Minh City police arrested Do Van Tuan (27 years old, from Thanh Hoa province) and four of his accomplices for various crimes.Unlawful detention,Extortion...This gang has been identified as having trafficked dozens of girls into sex massage parlors.
Investigators also worked with nearly 50 owners of businesses providing sensitive services, as well as employees and managers of these establishments, to clarify their involvement.

Previously, police received a report from a woman stating that her 24-year-old daughter had been tricked and sold into prostitution at the Tuong Phat massage parlor on Nguyen Anh Thu Street, Hoc Mon District. Her daughter called for help because she was not allowed to leave and was forced to work to pay off debts imposed by the owner. Investigators discovered that many other girls were in similar situations at other establishments.
The special task force (Team 3, PC02) was mobilized and unexpectedly raided six massage parlors, barbershops, cafes offering sexual services, and prostitution establishments in the outskirts of Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, and Dong Nai, rescuing 13 girls. The victims stated that they initially went to these establishments seeking work but were tricked and sold into prostitution rings, forced to pay brokerage fees. Tuan and four of his accomplices were arrested shortly afterward.Tuan admitted that since 2018, he had been posting job advertisements for easy, high-paying positions on Zalo and Facebook. When girls from rural areas wanted to apply for jobs, they would arrange meetings at various locations such as Binh Gia Street and Hoang Ke Viem Street (Tan Binh District)...
Tuan's group claimed that the advertised job openings were full, luring the girls into working as waitresses or service staff at "respectable" massage parlors or cafes with higher salaries. When the girls agreed, Tuan and his accomplices took them to the owner of a sex-related establishment to "sell" them, receiving 8-10 million VND as a brokerage fee.
The massage parlor owner forced the girls to pay off this debt by having them entertain customers, and also held them captive. Many were beaten and tortured for attempting to escape.
"The practice of using fake recruitment tactics to trick victims into massage parlors, sex dens, and prostitution rings in Ho Chi Minh City is not new. However, many people, especially young girls, still fall into the trap because they are promised easy work and high salaries," the leader of the Special Task Force stated.
