FastConnect 8800 is the first mobile chip to support Wi-Fi 8, Bluetooth 7, and UWB on a 6nm process, delivering superior transfer speeds of up to 11.6Gbps.
At MWC 2026, Qualcomm officially introduced FastConnect 8800, a pioneering mobile connectivity solution that simultaneously supports the latest standards including Wi-Fi 8, Bluetooth 7, Ultra Wideband (UWB) 802.15.4ab, and Thread 1.5.
A breakthrough with Wi-Fi 8 and 4x4 radio configuration.
FastConnect 8800 is manufactured using a cutting-edge 6nm process, marking a shift from the traditional 2x2 radio configuration to a completely new 4x4 design. According to Qualcomm, this architecture allows the device to achieve double-digit bandwidth, specifically a maximum speed of up to 11.6 Gbps.
Besides speed, the Wi-Fi 8 standard on this chip also integrates Extended Long Range (ELR) technology. This technology significantly improves stability and extends the operating range three times compared to current FastConnect generations, ensuring seamless connectivity in large spaces.
Bluetooth 7 and a premium wireless audio experience.
Not only is it a leader in Wi-Fi, the FastConnect 8800 also supports Bluetooth 7 with Bluetooth High Data Throughput. This technology increases data transfer speeds from the traditional 2Mbps to 7.5Mbps, allowing for the transmission of high-quality audio content with lower latency.
The new connectivity system is also fully compatible with Qualcomm's Expanded Personal Area Network (XPAN) ecosystem and Snapdragon Sound technology suite. This allows users to fully utilize high-quality wireless audio standards such as aptX Lossless, aptX Adaptive, and aptX Voice on supported devices.
