Qualcomm launches Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 and 4 Gen 5: Popularizing Wi-Fi 7 and 200MP cameras.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 and 4 Gen 5, manufactured using a 4nm process, bring premium features like Wi-Fi 7 and a 200MP camera to the mid-range and budget phone segments.
Qualcomm has officially introduced its latest pair of processors in the Snapdragon 6-series and 4-series, aiming to bring the most advanced technologies to mainstream mobile devices. Both the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 and Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 are manufactured using the advanced 4nm process, focusing on optimizing gaming performance, improving user interface smoothness, and enhancing mobile photography quality. Devices equipped with these two chips are expected to be available in the second half of 2026.

Snapdragon 6 Gen 5: The new standard for Wi-Fi 7 connectivity.
The Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 is the most powerful processor in this launch, boasting a CPU architecture consisting of 4 high-performance cores clocked at 2.6GHz and 4 power-efficient cores at 2.0GHz. Compared to its predecessor, this chip sees a 21% increase in graphics performance (GPU) and a 20% increase in application opening speed, while reducing screen latency by up to 18%.
Notably, Qualcomm has integrated Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0 connectivity technologies – features previously only found on flagship chips – into the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5. Photography capabilities have also been significantly upgraded with support for cameras up to 200MP, combined with AI algorithms such as AI Night Mode, 100x AI Zoom, and Snapdragon Game Super Resolution.

Snapdragon 4 Gen 5: A performance breakthrough for budget smartphones.
Aimed at a more accessible smartphone segment, the Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 boasts two high-performance 2.4GHz cores and six power-efficient 2.0GHz cores. The most impressive aspect of this chip is its significantly improved GPU performance, up to 77% faster, and app opening speeds, which are 43% quicker than its predecessor.
This is also the first processor in the Snapdragon 4-series to support 90FPS gaming, opening up a smooth entertainment experience for budget devices. In addition, this chip supports Full-HD+ displays with a 144Hz refresh rate, dual-channel UFS 3.1 memory, and cameras with a maximum resolution of 108MP.
