Israeli military urges residents of capital Beirut to evacuate
The Israeli military issued a message calling on residents in areas near the capital Beirut to urgently evacuate.

According to TASS news agency on October 5, issuing an announcement in Arabic, the official representative of the Israeli army Avichai Edri called on residents of the Burj al-Barajneh area, located in the southern suburbs of the capital Beirut, Lebanon, to urgently evacuate to a safe place.
"A new emergency warning is issued to residents of the southern suburbs, especially those in buildings in the Burj Al Barajneh area. For your own safety and that of your family members, you must immediately evacuate and neighboring buildings and stay at least 500 meters away from them," an Israeli military spokesman wrote on social network X.
Along with that, Edri posted a satellite image of the area, which shows a building that is believed to be used by Hezbollah in Lebanon as a military base. The Israeli military spokesman emphasized: "People close to Hezbollah's subjects and interests will become targets of the Israeli military's action in the coming time."
On the Hezbollah side, in an official statement, the representative of this force said that at least 20 Israeli soldiers were killed or injured in clashes with Hezbollah armed groups in southern Lebanon. Hezbollah said that it had planted explosive devices along the Israeli troops' route and detonated them. "Our troops opened fire with light and medium weapons, as well as rocket-propelled grenades, at close range, forcing them to retreat to the border," Hezbollah said.
Since October 1, Israel has been conducting a ground campaign against Hezbollah forces in southern Lebanon, and has continued to bomb the neighboring country, where more than 1,000 people have been killed, including Hezbollah leaders, and more than 90,000 have become refugees. Despite the losses, including in command personnel, Hezbollah continues to fight on the ground and does not stop rocket attacks on Israeli territory.
