The Russian military is about to receive its latest hypersonic weapons.
The latest hypersonic weapons will soon be deployed to the Russian armed forces, Viktor Bondarev, head of the Federation Council Committee on Defense, told RIA Novosti.

"We have a large number of modern conventional weapons, especially high-precision weapons. I would also like to reiterate that the military will soon receive several units of the latest hypersonic weapons, and thus our conventional arsenal will also serve as a strategic deterrent," he said.
Bondarev stated that Russia is complying with the START-3 treaty and updating its nuclear arsenal "in accordance with today's realities," and within the framework of quota agreements.
"I reiterate that the limit is on quantity, not quality. Russian nuclear weapons and warheads have superior technical characteristics compared to similar foreign weapons," the senator said.
