Russian army to receive latest hypersonic weapon
The latest hypersonic weapons will soon be in service with the Russian armed forces, head of the Federation Council Committee on Defense Viktor Bondarev told RIA Novosti news agency.

"We have a large number of modern conventional weapons, especially high-precision weapons. I also reiterate that the army will soon receive several units of the latest hypersonic weapons, and thus our conventional arsenal will also have a strategic deterrent character," he said.
Bondarev said Russia adheres to the START-3 treaty and updates its nuclear arsenal "in line with today's realities", and within the framework of quota agreements.
"I repeat the limit is quantitative, not qualitative. Russian nuclear weapons and warheads have superior technical characteristics compared to foreign analogues," the senator said.
