(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 16th, a delegation from Military Region 4, led by Colonel Ha Tan Tien - Deputy Commander of Military Region 4, along with Colonel Tran Van Hung - Commander of the Provincial Military Command, inspected the storm prevention and control efforts against Typhoon No. 2 in Cua Lo town and Nghi Loc district.

Nghe An province has 386 vessels and 2,601 workers directly involved in seafood fishing. As of 6:00 AM on July 16th, all vessels had taken shelter safely. There are 132 vessels/1,614 workers operating outside the province and in the common fishing grounds, and 3,394 vessels/14,308 workers anchored at ports.

During the inspection, Colonel Ha Tan Tien, Deputy Commander of Military Region 4, emphasized the preparations for preventing and responding to Typhoon No. 2. He stressed the need to strengthen monitoring and mobile information on the typhoon's movement; and to coordinate with agencies and units to reinforce houses, warehouses, and trees before the typhoon makes landfall.

Colonel Tran Van Hung, Commander of the Provincial Military Command, directed the strengthening of duty and command work, and the organization of teams to disseminate information about Typhoon No. 2 and prevention activities to every household.
