Military Region 4 inaugurates the competition for excellent political teaching.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 17th, at Unit 40A Cua Hoi, the 4th Military Region Command organized the opening ceremony of the 2017 competition for excellent political teaching among commune, ward, and town political officers.
Attending and directing the competition were Major General Tran Tien Dung - Standing Member of the Party Committee of Military Region IV, Deputy Political Commissar of Military Region IV; Major General Nguyen Duc Hoa - Head of the Political Department of Military Region IV; heads of agencies of Military Region IV and the Military Commands of 6 provinces in the Military Region.

The competition was attended by 30 contestants, all outstanding political commissars from communes, wards, and towns, selected from grassroots-level competitions. Over two days, the contestants participated in two parts: a knowledge test in the form of multiple-choice questions and a practical political teaching demonstration.
In his directive speech at the competition, Major General Tran Tien Dung highly appreciated the role and importance of the militia and self-defense forces in building a national defense system, defense zones, and people's war strategy. He emphasized that the political commissar of the commune, ward, or town military command is the person in charge of Party work and political work for the militia, self-defense forces, and reserve mobilization forces in carrying out their duties.

Therefore, improving the quality of political education for political officers of the commune, ward, and town military commands is extremely necessary and is an important condition and a direct factor contributing to improving the quality of political and ideological education for militia and reserve forces in localities. The Deputy Political Commissar of the Military Region wished the contestants calmness, confidence, concentration, and determination to achieve the highest results in the competition.
This competition is an opportunity for the Military Region to assess the quality of political commissars in the commune, ward, and town military commands in teaching political science to militia and self-defense forces. It is also an opportunity for agencies and units, especially those directly involved in political education, to exchange ideas and learn from each other, contributing to improving the quality of political education at the grassroots level.
