The Quang Ninh Provincial Department of Tourism has officially announced the second postponement of the "Art for Climate - Ha Long Bay 2025" festival, a large-scale international event expected to bring together 200 billionaires from many countries around the world.

This is considered the largest international event on art and environment ever held in Ha Long Bay, Quang Ninh. Preparations included 20 diverse activities, requiring close coordination between various domestic and international sectors. The main purpose of the event was to spread the message of protecting natural heritage worldwide and raise awareness about climate change.

According to Mr. Nguyen Lam Nguyen, Deputy Director of the Quang Ninh Provincial Department of Tourism, this second postponement is necessary to ensure the quality and professionalism of the event. Previously, the festival had been postponed once from June 2-8 due to difficulties in the preparation process.

According to the original plan, the "Art for Climate" program was scheduled to take place from January 13-19 in Ha Long, with the participation of 200 billionaires from various countries and a variety of artistic activities.

The organizers anticipate around 80,000 attendees, including policymakers, artists, environmental activists, and investors.

The diversity of participants also reflects the event's multifaceted goals, focusing not only on art but also incorporating science, policy, and business. This creates a comprehensive platform for exchange on global environmental issues.

In particular, with the event attended by 200 of the world's billionaires, ensuring security and VIP services becomes a major challenge. Infrastructure in Quang Ninh also needs to be prepared and upgraded to meet international standards.

Significance for Vietnamese tourism

This event is expected to put Ha Long Bay on the world map of luxury tourism, attracting the attention of the international super-rich. Successfully organizing the event could open up new opportunities for luxury tourism in Vietnam, especially in the high-income customer segment.

At the same time, the message about environmental protection and climate change response also contributes to enhancing Vietnam's image as a responsible nation in the international community.

The presence of 200 of the world's billionaires in Quang Ninh is not only symbolic but can also open up concrete investment opportunities. Many tourism development projects, high-end real estate projects, and green technology projects could be discussed and launched from this event.

Despite the second postponement, the organizers remain determined to successfully hold the event. The postponement is considered necessary to finalize preparations, ensuring the event is as professional and impressive as possible.

Moving the event to October could also offer weather advantages, as this is the ideal time to hold outdoor activities in Northern Vietnam. This could create better experiences for international guests and contribute to the overall success of the event.
