Rice-growing region strives to produce 270 tons of clean mushrooms in the winter season.

(Baonghean.vn) - To achieve the target of producing nearly 270 tons of various types of mushrooms in the 2016 winter crop season, farmers in Yen Thanh district (Nghe An province) are gathering raw materials and necessary conditions for production; ensuring productivity and quality to meet market demand.

Mushroom breeding facilities in Yen Thanh district are preparing 50,000 bags of mushrooms for households to grow during the 2016 winter season.

Currently, to provide various types of mushroom spawn to farmers, the district's mushroom spawn station and three large-scale mushroom farms in the area have focused on investing in facilities, equipment, and machinery, stockpiling hundreds of tons of raw materials, and mobilizing workers to package more than 50,000 bags of various types of mushrooms using tissue culture methods, ensuring scientific mushroom propagation.

This winter, 84 households in 24 communes of Yen Thanh district will be cultivating various types of mushrooms. Edible and medicinal mushrooms such as oyster mushrooms, button mushrooms, wood ear mushrooms, straw mushrooms, and reishi mushrooms, which are popular in the market, will be produced by local farmers according to VietGAP standards, ensuring good quality.
