Vietnam U23 faces a "big" challenge in their second training session in Indonesia.
The Vietnam U23 team held their second training session in Jakarta (Indonesia) on the evening of July 15th to prepare for their opening match against Laos U23 in Group B of the 2025 Southeast Asian U23 Championship.

The training session took place at Madya Stadium, not far from the Vietnamese U23 team's accommodation, but due to traffic congestion in Jakarta, coach Kim Sang Sik and his team spent nearly 50 minutes traveling by bus to reach the training ground.
Speaking before training, defender Pham Ly Duc said: “The team's morale is very high, and everyone is determined in every training session. The coaching staff always reminds everyone to take care of their health and ensure they are in the best physical condition before the tournament. Yesterday's training session was mainly for recovery and regaining fitness after the long journey. By today, everyone is in better physical condition to move on to specialized training.”
Malaysia is on the verge of elimination due to the lack of naturalized players.
Malaysian fans are likely to be utterly disappointed to see their team almost eliminated in their first match.

The opening match of the 2025 Southeast Asian U23 Championship turned into a major disappointment for Malaysian football. It was a defeat not only in terms of the score, but also a wake-up call regarding the true strength of Malaysian football.
With no naturalized players in the squad, the Malaysian U23 team clearly revealed its limitations in terms of technical skill and competitive spirit. The vast difference compared to the Malaysian team that once beat Vietnam 4-0 left fans bitterly admitting: The current generation of domestic players is not strong enough to carry the regional dream.
If Malaysia doesn't pull off a miracle in the next two matches, they will be eliminated from the tournament early in the group stage. And the defeat against the Philippines is the clearest proof that, without naturalized players, Malaysian football still lacks the maturity to dominate the Southeast Asian competition.
Man City signs the biggest deal in history.
This is the biggest contract in the history of football, surpassing the £950 million deal between Real Madrid and Adidas, and the £900 million deal between Manchester United and Adidas.
Reportedly, Manchester City began their partnership with Puma in 2019 with a total contract value of £650 million.

The new agreement will see the Manchester club rake in £100 million per season for the next 10 years.
The decision to cooperate was made even though Man City is still engaged in a legal battle with the Premier League over 115 allegations against them.
City Football Group CEO Ferran Soriano said: "We are partnering with Puma with the ambition to challenge ourselves and push the boundaries."
