The National Assembly approved two Deputy Prime Ministers: Pham Thi Thanh Tra and Ho Quoc Dung.

Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra and Mr. Ho Quoc Dung were approved by the National Assembly to hold the position of Deputy Prime Minister for the 2021-2026 term.

On the morning of October 25, in the working program of the 10th Session of the 15th National Assembly, the National Assembly conducted personnel work under its authority under the chairmanship of Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man.

At the meeting, the National Assembly voted to approve the Prime Minister's proposal to appoint Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra and Mr. Ho Quoc Dung to hold the position of Deputy Prime Ministers for the 2021-2026 term.

Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra was born on January 21, 1964, in Nam Dan district (old), Nghe An province, and grew up in Yen Bai province; Member of the Party Central Committee, 12th and 13th terms; has a Master's degree in Educational Management and Senior Political Theory. On April 8, 2021, at the 11th session of the 14th National Assembly, she was elected to hold the position of Minister of Home Affairs.

Mr. Ho Quoc Dung was born on August 15, 1966, his hometown is Cat Tai commune, Phu Cat district, Binh Dinh province (old), now Gia Lai province, has a Master's degree in Law, Senior in Political Theory, is a member of the 13th Party Central Committee.

On July 1, 2025, he was appointed to hold the position of Secretary of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee (new) for the 2020-2025 term after the merger of Binh Dinh and Gia Lai provinces.

On October 3, at the 1st Congress of Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030, the leader of the Central Organizing Committee said: The Politburo agreed to allow comrade Ho Quoc Dung - member of the 13th Party Central Committee, Secretary of Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee for the term 2020 - 2025 to cease participating in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and cease holding the position of Secretary of Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee so that the Central Committee can carry out the process of introducing and electing him to hold the position of Deputy Prime Minister for the term 2021 - 2026.

Thus, the Government leadership for the 2021 - 2026 term currently includes Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and 9 Deputy Prime Ministers, including Mr. Nguyen Hoa Binh (Permanent Deputy Prime Minister), Tran Hong Ha, Le Thanh Long, Ho Duc Phoc, Bui Thanh Son, Nguyen Chi Dung, Mai Van Chinh, Ho Quoc Dung and Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra.

Also in the working program, the National Assembly approved the Prime Minister's proposal to appoint a number of ministers for the 2021-2026 term, including Mr. Le Hoai Trung - Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs to hold the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs; Mr. Tran Duc Thang - Acting Minister of Agriculture and Environment to hold the position of Minister of Agriculture and Environment and Mr. Do Thanh Binh - Permanent Deputy Minister of Home Affairs to hold the position of Minister of Home Affairs.

On the same morning, the National Assembly elected a number of important positions in the apparatus of the 15th National Assembly. Ms. Nguyen Thanh Hai was elected to hold the position of Chairwoman of the National Assembly's Committee on Science, Technology and Environment; Mr. Nguyen Huu Dong was elected as a member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, holding the position of Chairman of the National Assembly's Delegation Affairs Committee; Mr. Le Quang Manh was elected to hold the position of Secretary General of the 15th National Assembly - Head of the National Assembly Office.

Previously, in the working session on the afternoon of October 24, the National Assembly voted to pass the following Resolutions:

- Resolution on dismissal of comrade Le Quang Tung from the position of Member of the Standing Committee of the 15th National Assembly; dismissal of comrade Le Quang Tung from the position of Secretary General of the 15th National Assembly - Head of the National Assembly Office; dismissal of Ms. Nguyen Thanh Hai from the position of Head of the Delegation Work Committee of the 15th National Assembly; dismissal of Mr. Le Quang Huy from the position of Head of the Science, Technology and Environment Committee of the 15th National Assembly.

- Resolution approving the Prime Minister's proposal to dismiss a number of Ministers for the 2021-2026 term: dismissing Mr. Bui Thanh Son from the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs; dismissing Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra from the position of Minister of Home Affairs; and dismissing Mr. Do Duc Duy from the position of Minister of Agriculture and Environment.

- Resolution approving the proposal of the Chairman of the National Election Council on the dismissal of Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra, Ms. Nguyen Thanh Hai and Mr. Le Quang Tung from the position of Member of the National Election Council

- Resolution to dismiss the XV National Assembly delegate Mr. Tran Van Thuc.

The National Assembly also listened to Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh present the Report of the National Assembly Standing Committee on: Election of members of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Chairman of the Committee for Delegation Affairs of the 15th National Assembly; Election of Chairman of the Committee for Science, Technology and Environment of the 15th National Assembly; Election of Secretary General of the 15th National Assembly - Chairman of the National Assembly Office.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh presented a report requesting the National Assembly to approve the appointment of Deputy Prime Ministers for the 2021-2026 term and approve the appointment of a number of Ministers for the 2021-2026 term. The National Assembly then discussed the above contents in groups.
