National Assembly discusses CPTPP and e-visa issuance for foreigners

(Baonghean.vn) - Today (November 5), entering the third working week, the National Assembly will spend time discussing in the hall. Delegates will discuss the ratification of the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) and the extension of the pilot implementation period of issuing e-visas for foreigners entering Vietnam.

In the morning, chaired by National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, the National Assembly will discuss the ratification of the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) and related documents. Following that, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Binh Minh will explain the opinions of National Assembly deputies on the CPTPP.

Also in the morning, Minister of Public Security To Lam, authorized by the Prime Minister, presented a report summarizing the pilot implementation of electronic visas for foreigners entering Vietnam. After listening to the report on the review of the Government's report summarizing the pilot implementation of electronic visas for foreigners entering Vietnam, delegates will discuss extending the implementation period of Resolution No. 30/2016/QH14 on the pilot issuance of electronic visas for foreigners entering Vietnam. The head of the Public Security sector will explain related issues.

In the afternoon, the National Assembly will spend time listening to the Report on explanation, acceptance and revision of the draft Law on Vietnam Coast Guard. This content will also be discussed by delegates in the hall.
