The National Assembly discusses socio-economic issues and the amended Employment Law.
During the third working week of the 8th Session (November 4-9), the National Assembly discussed many important issues such as the results of the implementation of the socio-economic development plan, the amended Employment Law, and the Law on Teachers.
Accordingly, the National Assembly will dedicate the entire day of Monday (November 4th) to plenary discussions on evaluating the results of the implementation of the socio-economic development plan for 2024; the projected socio-economic development plan for 2025; and the policy on adjusting the National Land Use Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050.
During the morning session on November 5th, the National Assembly also spent most of its time discussing in the plenary hall the implementation of the state budget in 2024, the state budget estimates, and the central budget allocation plan for 2025.
On the same day, the National Assembly discussed in the plenary session the draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Officers of the Vietnam People's Army. Afterwards, the Minister of National Defense explained and clarified some issues raised by the delegates.
This week, the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, acting on behalf of the Prime Minister, presented a draft resolution to the National Assembly on specific mechanisms and policies to address difficulties and obstacles related to projects and land issues arising from inspection reports, audits, and court rulings in Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, and Khanh Hoa province.
According to the program, the Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, authorized by the Prime Minister, will present the draft amendments to the Law on Employment; and the Minister of Education and Training will present the draft Law on Teachers.
Delegates discussed in the assembly hall the draft Resolution on piloting the handling of evidence and assets during the investigation, prosecution, and trial of certain criminal cases. Following this, the Chief Prosecutor of the Supreme People's Procuratorate explained and clarified some issues raised by the delegates.
