Quy Chau: 1,683 good farmers and businessmen

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of October 27, Quy Chau district held a conference to honor farmers with good production and business performance in the period 2012-2016.

According to the report, by 2016, Quy Chau district had 1,683 households achieving the title of excellent production and business at all levels, of which 8 households achieved the title at the central level and 63 households achieved the title at the provincial level. The movement has had a positive impact in applying scientific and technological advances in production and business; actively contributing to the process of building new rural areas, solidarity, mutual love, mutual assistance, helping each other to eliminate hunger and reduce poverty, maintain political stability, social order and safety in rural areas, and protect local security.

The District People's Committee awarded individuals with outstanding achievements in production and business in the period 2012-2016.

To achieve that result, in addition to the efforts of families, the support of the association, and the attention of the local government, households also have the attention and conditions to borrow capital from the Policy Bank and the Agricultural Bank. Up to now, the total outstanding debt of the District Farmers' Association signed to receive the trust from the Policy Bank is 76 billion VND with over 3,000 borrowing households. The Agricultural Bank has achieved a total outstanding debt of over 43 billion VND with 22 borrowing groups.

At the conference, the District People's Committee and the District Farmers' Association awarded 19 individuals with outstanding achievements in business and production in the period 2012-2016./.
