Quy Chau: 1,683 outstanding farmers in production and business.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of October 27th, Quy Chau district held a conference to commend outstanding farmers in production and business during the period 2012-2016.

According to the report, by 2016, Quy Chau district had 1,683 households achieving the title of excellent producers and business operators at various levels, including 8 households at the central level and 63 households at the provincial level. This movement has had a positive impact on the application of scientific and technological advancements in production and business; contributing positively to the process of building new rural areas, promoting solidarity, mutual support, and assistance in poverty reduction, maintaining political stability, social order and security in rural areas, and protecting local security.

The District People's Committee awarded commendations to individuals with outstanding achievements in production and business during the period 2012-2016.

To achieve these results, in addition to the efforts of the families, the support from the farmers' association, and the attention from the local government, the households also benefited from the support and facilitation of loans from the Policy Bank and the Agricultural Bank. To date, the total outstanding loan balance entrusted to the District Farmers' Association by the Policy Bank is 76 billion VND with over 3,000 borrowing households. The Agricultural Bank has a total outstanding loan balance of over 43 billion VND with 22 loan groups.

At the conference, the District People's Committee and the District Farmers' Association awarded commendations to 19 individuals who achieved outstanding results in business and production during the period 2012-2016.
