(Baonghean.vn) - The value of industrial and handicraft production, trade, and services reached over 2,500 billion VND. This figure is shown when evaluating the results of the Quy Chau District Party Committee's Program 06 on the development of industry, handicrafts, trade, and services in the period 2011-2015.

During this period, the value of industrial and handicraft production reached over 495 billion VND, with nearly 153 billion VND in 2015 alone. The average growth rate over the past five years in this sector in Quy Chau reached 34.2%, exceeding the program's target of 16.3%; its share in the economic structure accounted for 19.5%, exceeding the target of 19%.

The incense making industry makes a significant contribution to the industrial and handicraft production value of Quy Chau.

The trade and service sector also experienced significant growth, with a total value exceeding 2,045 billion VND for the entire period, and 521.5 billion VND in 2015 alone. This brought the sector's share in the economic structure to over 44%, surpassing the target of nearly 38%.

The main sectors contributing to this growth are mining, building materials production, and agricultural and forestry product processing. Particularly noteworthy is the remarkable progress in the formation and development of traditional crafts.

Trade and services have developed diversely with many different forms.

This mountainous district now has 7 craft villages, exceeding the target by 3. Among them are villages producing incense and brocade, which have established strong product brands in the market. The trade and service network has also been invested in and diversified, including markets, gas stations, and transportation services for goods and passengers.

However, according to the assessment of Quy Chau district, the above results do not fully reflect the potential of the locality. This mountainous district strives to achieve a production value of industry, handicrafts and construction exceeding 1,000 billion VND; and trade and services reaching 683.5 billion VND by 2020.
