Regulations on time limit for receiving transfer of land use rights
Mr. N.D.T in Tuong Duong district asked: According to the 2024 Land Law, how is the land use term regulated when receiving land use rights transfer?
Article 174 of the 2024 Land Law stipulates:
1. The land use term when receiving the transfer of land use rights for land types with a specified term is the remaining land use term of the land use term before receiving the transfer of land use rights. The extension of land use term shall be implemented in accordance with the provisions of Clause 3, Article 172 of this Law.

In case of receiving the right to use agricultural land within the land allocation limit of an individual directly engaged in agricultural production through receiving the transfer of land use rights or receiving the right to use land in a mortgage contract to settle debt, a judgment, a decision of the Court, or a decision to enforce a judgment of an enforcement agency that has been enforced but the land use term has expired, the land may continue to be used according to the term prescribed in Article 172 of this Law without having to carry out extension procedures.
2. The transferee of land use rights for land of long-term stable use shall be entitled to use the land for long-term stable use.
