Previously, on June 26, in Chau Tien commune, there was prolonged heavy rain, the 320KVA low-voltage transformer station of Phuc Son Mineral Company Limited was located on weak ground, so it collapsed and was almost completely buried by rocks and soil.
The sinkhole location is the licensed mining area for INVECON Quy Hop Company Limited in Loc Tien village, Chau Tien commune (Quy Hop).
The incident also affected a transformer station of INVECON Company Limited located next door and caused four electric poles in the above mentioned power line system to collapse.
The incident also directly affected mineral mining companies in the Thung Hung mine area, including Ha Cuong Company Limited, Phuc Son Mineral Company Limited, and Chau A Stone Joint Stock Company, due to power outages and they are currently unable to resume production.
After the incident, the leaders of Quy Hop district grasped the situation and directed Chau Tien commune to coordinate with businesses and related departments to set up barriers at both ends of the road, set up checkpoints and sent guards to prevent people and vehicles from traveling on the road to the Thung Hung area.
At the same time, notify all people and related businesses to not travel into the landslide area.
Currently, the People's Committee of Quy Hop district is directing the locality, businesses and related departments to urgently fix the problem so that businesses can soon restore production and ensure safety.
