Currently, whole corn cobs are being purchased by companies from farmers directly in the fields at a price of 700,000 VND/ton. With an average yield of 2.4 tons/sao (approximately 48 tons of corn cobs per hectare), this will generate revenue of over 33 million VND.
To date, dairy processing plants have purchased corn from approximately 30% of the cultivated area. It is expected that all the corn will be purchased before December 20th (lunar calendar) so that people can prepare the land for planting the spring rice crop.
