Acting Director of Nghe An Department of Health meets standards for Associate Professor title
(Baonghean.vn) - In addition to 8 lecturers of Vinh University who were recognized as qualified for the title of Professor and Associate Professor, Dr. Duong Dinh Chinh, Acting Director of the Department of Health, was also recognized as qualified for the title of Associate Professor.

On January 31, 2018 and February 1, 2018, in Hanoi, the State Council of Professors (SPC) for the 2014-2019 term held its 7th Session. At the Session, the SPC reviewed and voted on candidates who met the standards for the title of Professor and Associate Professor in 2017.
Accordingly, in 2017, 85 people met the standards for the title of professor and 1,141 people met the standards for the title of associate professor. Compared to 703 people in 2016, the number of people meeting the standards for professor and associate professor in 2017 was 534 people higher than the previous year, 1.74 times higher. Compared to 2015, the number of people meeting the standards for professor and associate professor in 2017 was 2.35 times higher.
The youngest person to be awarded the title of professor in 2017 is Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Hoang Hiep, born on March 1, 1982 in Hai Duong, Institute of Mathematics, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology. Main research directions are: Polypotential theory, Analysis and complex geometry.
The youngest associate professor in 2017 is Mr. Do Duc Thuan (Hanoi University of Science and Technology), 32 years old, majoring in Mathematics.
The oldest professor born in 1943, 75 years old this year, is Ms. La Hue Cam, professor of Linguistics, working at Ho Chi Minh City University of Education.
