The actor plays the role of Mr. Hai, a salt worker in Thieng Lieng Island (HCMC). For many years, he lived as a single father, struggling to raise and care for his daughter until she grew up.

Quyen Linh accepted the role because he saw himself in the role. In real life, he also has two grown daughters. "I try to convey my real life on screen. Whether in movies or in real life, any father always sacrifices for his children," he shared.
Because the character has a rough appearance, Quyen Linh changed his appearance to suit the director's requirements. Within 4 months, he played sports and followed a strict diet with the help of his wife - Ms. Da Thao and 2 children. As a result, he successfully lost weight from over 100kg to 70kg.

During filming days, his wife and two daughters visited Quyen Linh on set. In one scene, the male artist acted out a scene where he was hit by a car, his face covered in blood, lying in the middle of the road, making his daughter cry with grief.
"My daughter saw that scene and cried. When she got home, she told me:Dad, why is it so hard? I didn't think acting in movies would be so hard for you.I want my daughter to go to the set to see how to complete a character, the actor has to struggle, make trade-offs and even sacrifice. This is my daughter's first lesson in art," he shared.
