Quynh Ba commune receives certificate recognizing it as a new-style rural commune.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of August 19th, Quynh Ba commune (Quynh Luu district) held a ceremony to receive the certificate recognizing the commune as having met the standards for a rural area in 2016.
"Quynh Ba Commune (Quynh Luu District): Actively Building New Rural Areas"
After 6 years of implementing the New Rural Development program, Quynh Ba commune has mobilized over 183 million VND for rural development investment. This includes 32 million VND from the central government budget, over 32.6 million VND from the provincial budget, over 5.3 million VND from the district budget, 18 million VND from the commune budget, and over 95 million VND contributed and invested by the people in building and renovating their houses.
To date, the poverty rate has decreased from 13.7% (in 2010) to 2.2% (in 2016). Average per capita income has reached 36 million VND/year, a 3.5-fold increase compared to 2010. All village roads and alleys have been paved, and the health stations, schools, and cultural centers in the villages have been built in a modern and spacious manner.

Quynh Ba commune has completed 19 criteria in the National set of criteria for building new rural areas. With these results, Quynh Ba commune was recognized as a standard new rural commune by a decision signed by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on December 7, 2016.
Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Nguyen Van Hang - Deputy Chief of the Provincial New Rural Development Coordination Office - highly appreciated the results that Quynh Ba commune has achieved in implementing the national target program on building new rural areas. He suggested that the Party Committee, government, and people of Quynh Ba commune should consider building new rural areas as a regular and continuous task; focusing on prioritizing economic development and avoiding over-mobilizing the people.

Also at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Hang, Deputy Chief of the Provincial New Rural Development Coordination Office, presented the certificate recognizing Quynh Ba commune as a new rural commune and donated 500 million VND to the commune for the construction of welfare facilities in the coming time.
The Provincial People's Committee also awarded Certificates of Merit to 4 collectives and 2 individuals, and the Quynh Luu District People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 4 collectives and 5 individuals for their outstanding achievements in the process of building new rural areas.
To commemorate the 72nd anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd, Quynh Ba commune also organized the opening ceremony of the 2017 Sports Festival and Summer Camp.
