Quynh Bang commune (Quynh Luu district) receives certificate recognizing it as a New Rural Area.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of March 13th, Quynh Bang commune, Quynh Luu district, held a ceremony to receive the certificate recognizing it as a New Rural Area.

Quynh Bang commune is one of seven communes in Quynh Luu district recognized as achieving New Rural Area standards at the end of 2015. Over the past five years, the total investment in New Rural Area construction in Quynh Bang commune reached over 345.6 billion VND, of which the people contributed over 259 billion VND, accounting for 74.98%. From the mobilized capital, the locality has concreted more than 3km of commune roads; 4.5km of village roads and 3km of alleyways; and reinforced nearly 19km of irrigation canals.

Leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development presented the Certificate of Recognition for achieving New Rural Area standards from the Provincial People's Committee to Quynh Bang commune.

Infrastructure has been comprehensively invested in, and per capita income in 2015 reached 23.4 million VND/person. The poverty rate has decreased to 4.19%; nearly 92% of the workforce has regular employment; over 85% of households have access to clean water; political security and social order and safety are ensured and maintained.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of commendation to collectives and individuals who have achieved outstanding results in the New Rural Development movement.

On this occasion, 3 collectives and 4 individuals were awarded Certificates of Commendation by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; the leaders of Quynh Luu district presented certificates of merit and awards to 4 collectives and 6 individuals who made significant contributions to the construction of new rural areas in the locality.
