Quynh Luu open arms to the sea

(Baonghean) - With a coastline of nearly 20km, many beautiful beaches; abundant, rich and attractive aquatic and seafood resources; many beautiful landscapes, many traditional folk festivals imbued with regional cultural identity create attractive colors for Quynh Luu tourism.The district has many potentials and advantages to develop marine tourism associated with cultural and historical tourism and commercial services.

Exploiting potential

In order to exploit tourism potential and meet the needs of domestic and foreign tourists, in recent times, Quynh Luu has completed and put into use key tourist routes such as Van - Bang; Hau - Doi - Yen - Minh; Thach - Thanh - Luong; provincial road 537B; upgraded, renovated, and invested in the transportation system of coastal communes.

The clean water system, power grid system, and electrical transformer stations serving sea tourism have basically met the needs of daily life, tourism, and commercial services. New restaurants and hotels have been built at a cost of nearly 150 billion VND. The scale, quality, and service system of accommodation establishments have increased. Currently, the district has 20 accommodation establishments (3 hotels and 17 motels) with more than 300 rooms and over 500 beds serving the needs of thousands of tourists. The number and quality of dining establishments has increased; there are currently over 30 restaurants and 40 food and beverage shops. The number and quality of workers in the tourism sector has increased rapidly.

Coming to Quynh Luu, tourists will visit cultural and historical relics, family churches, temples, pagodas, shrines. Visit and learn about economic models and craft villages. Resorts and beach bathing are the main types of tourism, concentrated in coastal communes, mainly Quynh Nghia and Quynh Bang.

Along with that are entertainment services and commercial services such as tennis, mini football, badminton, volleyball, developing karaoke restaurants... In particular, commercial services in Quynh Luu mainly exploit some advantageous products of the district including products processed from rare aquatic and seafood sources such as agar, fish sauce, squid, fish, shrimp, crab, snails, clams, oysters... and products harvested and produced from craft villages such as: vegetables, tubers, fruits, deer antlers, rattan and bamboo weaving, household wooden furniture, high-class wooden furniture...

Mr. Hoang Danh Lai - Chairman of Quynh Luu District People's Committee said: 2015 marked the rise of Quynh Luu beach tourism, with the appearance of a resort at Quynh Nghia beach, with a total investment of phase 1 of approximately 70 billion VND. With synchronous investment, this tourist area has created a highlight, attracting a large number of visitors to Quynh beach.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Thuan - the investor in building the resort at Quynh Nghia beach, shared: In early 2014, the resort officially started construction with a total area of ​​6.5 hectares. Phase 1 has only completed 1/4 of the project, including completing the restaurant area, resort area, 20 independent rooms in the form of separate bungalows. In the near future, we will continue to build resort villas, a 3,000m2 conference center, sports fields, swimming pool area... with a total investment of nearly 200 billion VND for the entire project. To welcome this year's tourist season, Quynh Nghia Resort is preparing the best facilities and conditions to welcome tourists.

New tourist destination 2016

According to the plan of the District People's Committee, the Quynh Beach Tourism Opening Ceremony 2016 will take place from April 28 to May 2, 2016. The venue will be at Rubystar Beach Quynh Resort in Quynh Nghia Commune. The content of the Tourism Opening Ceremony includes sports, cultural and artistic activities and product display.

Regarding sports, competitions will be organized for artificial turf football, beach volleyball, tennis, tug of war, basket boat racing... for communes, towns, agencies, units, clubs... in the district. The qualifying round will start from April 22, the final matches will be held on April 29. In addition to the district tournament, Ruby star Beach Quynh Resort also organizes a friendly match between famous players of Song Lam Nghe An Club and Ho Chi Minh City.

On weekends or summer vacations, Quynh Lap beach has become a destination for many families.

Regarding culture and art, there will be a contest called “Quynh Sea Voice”; a performance by a professional troupe and a drum performance. In the contest called “Quynh Sea Voice”, the contestants include civil servants, public employees, students and citizens in Quynh Luu from 16 to 35 years old. The preliminary round will be held on April 20, after which 6 excellent contestants will be selected to participate in the final round on the evening of April 29. On this occasion, Quynh Luu will also organize an exhibition and introduce Quynh sea specialties such as fish sauce, fish, squid, dried shrimp, etc. and unique products of craft villages in the district.

Mr. Hoang Danh Lai - Chairman of the District People's Committee emphasized: Quynh Luu identifies the main types and clusters of tourism including: Beach tourism, resort tourism (coastal communes). Spiritual cultural tourism (communes with ranked historical, cultural and spiritual relics; festivals, temples, pagodas, Buddhist and Catholic worship facilities). Eco-tourism, sightseeing (communes with mountains, caves, upstream forests, traditional craft villages, agricultural production, aquaculture, fisheries exploitation, etc.). Striving by 2020, tourism will basically become an important economic sector, with professionalism, a relatively synchronous and modern technical infrastructure system; high-quality, diverse, branded tourism products, imbued with regional cultural identity./.
