Quynh Luu: Giving 300 national flags to coastal fishermen

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of November 15, the People's Committee of Quynh Luu district held a ceremony to present national flags to fishing boats of fishermen in coastal communes.

Quynh Luu district leaders directly presented flags to fishermen on board.

At the ceremony, representatives of Quynh Luu district leaders presented 300 national flags to fishermen in Tien Thuy, Quynh Nghia, Quynh Long, Son Hai, and Quynh Tho communes. This is an activity to encourage fishermen to persevere in going out to sea, sticking to the sea, and exploiting seafood on traditional fishing grounds despite difficulties.

Fishermen's offshore fishing not only plays an important role in developing the marine economy but also participates in protecting national sovereignty and security at sea, affirming the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.

On this occasion, the District People's Committee also presented 50 gifts, each worth VND 500,000, to 50 families of sailors in difficult circumstances in the district./.
