Quynh Tho (Quynh Luu): Opening Ceremony of Duc Ong Temple Festival
On the afternoon of April 22nd, the People's Committee of Quynh Tho commune (Quynh Luu district) held the opening ceremony of the Duc Ong Temple festival in 2016.
The Duc Ong Temple, located in Tho Dong Hamlet, Quynh Tho Commune, is dedicated to the god Sat Hai Dai Vuong, a deity who played a significant role in the resistance against the Mongol invaders in the 19th century. Fishermen also worship the whales that washed ashore and are buried in the area.
