Playing in the pond, two uncles and nephews drowned.
Information from the People's Committee of Giai Xuan commune, Tan Ky district said that a drowning incident had just occurred in the area, causing the death of 2 children.
The victims were Nguyen Duc Huy (5 years old) and Bui Duc Tai (4 years old), both living in Giai Xuan commune.
According to information, on the afternoon of June 24, Tai (Huy's uncle) went to Huy's house to play. The two of them invited each other to go to the pond of Ly's house (Huy's mother and also Tai's sister) to play. At 6:30 p.m. the same day, Ly did not see the two children and was panicked to go looking for them. When they discovered them, the two children had drowned in the pond.
It is known that Tai's parents work far away. Five years ago, Tai's older brother also died in a traffic accident.
Currently, the local government and organizations are supporting the families in taking care of the funerals of the two children.
