While playing in the pond near their house, a boy and his uncle drowned.
According to information from the People's Committee of Giai Xuan commune, Tan Ky district, a drowning incident recently occurred in the area, resulting in the deaths of two children.
The victims were Nguyen Duc Huy (5 years old) and Bui Duc Tai (4 years old), both residing in Giai Xuan commune.
According to the information, on the afternoon of June 24th, Tài (Huy's uncle) came to Huy's house to play. The two of them went to play by the pond at Ly's house (Huy's mother and Tài's older sister). At 6:30 PM that same day, Ly panicked when she couldn't find the two children and started searching. When she found them, both had drowned in the pond.
It is known that Tài's parents work far away from home. Five years ago, Tài's older brother also died in a traffic accident.
Currently, local authorities and organizations are assisting the families in arranging the funerals for the two children.
