While leading her cows home from the field to shelter from the rain, a woman was struck by lightning and died.
(Baonghean.vn) - A woman residing in Yen Thanh district was leading her cows back to the barn to avoid a thunderstorm when she was suddenly struck by lightning, resulting in the deaths of both her and the cows.
On May 12th, the People's Committee of Quang Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district, reported that at approximately 5:20 PM on May 11th, Ms. Dang Thi Ng. (born in 1972), residing in Quang Thanh commune, saw that a thunderstorm was approaching and went to the field in front of her house to lead her cows back to the barn to avoid the rain, but unfortunately, she was struck by lightning.
Around 6 PM that same day, the rain stopped, but Ms. Ng. still hadn't brought her cow home. Sensing something was wrong, her relatives rushed to the field and discovered her dead, with her cow lying nearby, also struck and killed by lightning.
Following the incident, local authorities visited and offered condolences to the family of the deceased.
