Launching an English-language section in Nghe An Newspaper.
(Baonghean.vn) - The launch of the English section in Baonghean Newspaper marks a significant development for the Party newspaper in President Ho Chi Minh's homeland. This is a new channel to promote the image of Nghe An province and its people to the world.
On the afternoon of January 13th, Nghe An Newspaper held a ceremony to launch its English-language section, "Nghe An News," in the Nghe An Newspaper. Attending the ceremony were provincial leaders including: Mr. Nguyen Nam Dinh - Member of the Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; and representatives from various provincial departments and agencies. Also present were journalist Tran Minh Ngoc - Chairman of the Nghe An Journalists Association, Director of Nghe An Radio and Television Station; outstanding collaborators; and staff, reporters, and employees of Nghe An Newspaper.

In the context of the ongoing Fourth Industrial Revolution, many foreigners and overseas Vietnamese around the world are interested in learning more about Nghe An province, particularly regarding investment attraction and economic, cultural, and social activities. Meanwhile, most news available in newspapers is in Vietnamese.

Therefore, on December 28, 2022, the Nghe An Newspaper received approval from the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee to issue Project No. 23-DA/TU on "Comprehensive Quality Improvement Associated with Digital Transformation of Nghe An Newspaper in the period 2022-2027, with consideration to 2030". One of the objectives of the Project is to comprehensively improve the quality of Nghe An Newspaper's publications. This includes the direction to open an English section and eventually build an English version of Nghe An Newspaper, aiming to contribute to the task of external information dissemination, more strongly promoting the image of Nghe An's land and people to the world, as well as introducing the province's economic and tourism potential and strengths to domestic partners, especially foreign investors.

After seeking opinions and receiving permission from the Ministry of Information and Communications via Official Letter No. 5494/BTTTT-CBC dated November 9, 2022, Nghe An Newspaper has launched an English-language section to meet the practical needs of readers for diverse information.
This section was created to continue pursuing the goal of innovation, improving the quality of content and the way readers access it in the technological era. It will also be an important and useful information channel, marking a new turning point in the development journey of Nghe An Newspaper after more than 60 years.

Photo collections and video clips are presented in English – one of the most widely used languages globally today.
