Book launch: 'Ethnic minority people of Nghe An learn from and follow President Ho Chi Minh'
On the morning of June 13th, the Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committee, in coordination with the Nghe An Publishing House, held a ceremony to launch the book "Ethnic Minority People of Nghe An Learn from and Follow President Ho Chi Minh's Teachings".

The book "Ethnic Minority People of Nghe An Province Studying and Following the Example of Ho Chi Minh" is a document compiled and published as part of the task of Project No. 01 dated July 28, 2021, of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee on compiling and publishing materials for propaganda, study, and following the ideology, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh for ethnic minority people in Nghe An province.
The book launch ceremony was an activity to celebrate the 134th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth; the 55th anniversary of the implementation of President Ho Chi Minh's Testament; and the 55th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's last letter to the Executive Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee.
The book consists of three parts, which provide an overview of President Ho Chi Minh's life and career, his contributions to the Vietnamese nation; his affection and trust in the ethnic minority communities, and the affection of the ethnic minority communities for President Ho Chi Minh, including the ethnic minorities in Nghe An.
The book also introduces the core content of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style, and how ethnic minority people can learn from and follow him in the most practical way; the Party and State's policies and guidelines for ethnic minorities to realize Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style; and exemplary collective and individual examples of ethnic minority people in Nghe An province who have learned from and followed Ho Chi Minh.
After publishing the printed version of this document, the Editorial Board continued to adapt it into other formats such as e-books, audiobooks, podcasts, and recordings in ethnic minority languages to reach as many readers as possible. Comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Huong, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, emphasized that the Document Compilation Board conducted three surveys in mountainous ethnic minority areas of Nghe An province and in Cao Bang province, where President Ho Chi Minh spent a long time engaging in revolutionary activities and living with ethnic minority people. Based on these surveys, the Compilation Board developed an outline, commissioned articles from authors, and proceeded with editing the document.
The printed draft of the document was meticulously edited, with the participation of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and the Nghe An Publishing House. Before printing, it was reviewed and approved by the Ho Chi Minh Institute, the leaders of the Ho Chi Minh National Political Academy, and members of the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee.
The document meets the criteria regarding content, form, and delivery method. The content is concise, complete, easy to understand, easy to remember, easy to implement, and suitable to the cultural characteristics, customs, and perceptions of the ethnic minority people in Nghe An; the form is beautiful and attractive; and the delivery method is effective.
To ensure the document fulfills its purpose and achieves the objectives set out in Project 01, the Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department requests that the Standing Committee, the Party Committee's Standing Board, and the Propaganda Departments of localities with ethnic minority populations strengthen the dissemination, promotion, and guidance on the use of the document to the right target audience in order to maximize its value.
Currently, the Editorial Board has only been able to translate the materials into the languages of the ethnic minorities living in the province: Hmong and Thai. For the remaining languages, we request that local authorities, based on their specific circumstances, develop appropriate and effective methods for translating the materials.
Furthermore, media outlets, the Department of Information and Communications, and the Department of Culture and Sports are paying attention to conveying the content of the book through various rich and engaging forms in people's lives in order to best promote the value of the document. Through this, the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style will become a regular and voluntary practice among cadres and Party members, and will spread to every citizen.
