Solar-powered aircraft launched.
The aircraft, which operates entirely on solar power, has a wingspan of 35 meters, weighs only 150 kg, and is still under development in the UK.

Named Phasa-35, the drone is capable of operating for a full year without maintenance.
The company that invented the aircraft says it can be used for both civilian and military purposes, providing surveillance or communication services in remote areas year-round at low cost.
Solar-powered drones are being considered a much cheaper solution than using satellites as is currently the case.
