The powertrain remains the same for both versions. The GLA250 is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, 208 horsepower, front-wheel drive, and 4Matic is an additional option. The GLA45 AMG still uses the same 375 horsepower and 474 Nm torque engine as the current version. This is the most powerful 2.0-liter engine in the world and no competitor has yet surpassed it. The AMG version uses the 4Matic transmission, there is no single-wheel drive version. |

| Customers can also choose the AMG Performance Studio package with yellow trim inside and out, including air-conditioning vents and floor mats. This package also includes a rear spoiler. Prices for all three versions have not been announced, but are expected to be not much higher than the current version. The car will be on sale from the summer of 2017. |
