Launching of the North Central Forensic Psychiatric Institute
(Baonghean.vn) - The establishment of the branch will help the forensic psychiatric assessment work of Nghe An in particular and the North Central provinces in general to be performed better.
On the morning of July 16, the Ministry of Health held a ceremony to launch the North Central Forensic Psychiatry Branch of the Central Institute of Forensic Psychiatry. Attending the ceremony were comrades: Nguyen Thi Kim Tien - Minister of Health; Nguyen Viet Tien - Permanent Deputy Minister of Health and leaders of departments, offices and institutes under the Ministry of Health.
On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrades: Thai Thanh Quy - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Le Ngoc Hoa - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and representatives of leaders of departments, branches, sectors, and medical units in the province.

The branch performs forensic psychiatric examinations in the three provinces of Thanh Hoa, Nghe An and Ha Tinh; and provides compulsory treatment to psychiatric patients in the assigned area. The planned bed capacity of the branch in 2019 and 2020 is 50 beds.
