On the morning of April 23, the Provincial People's Committee held a meeting of the Organizing Committee for the 2025 Lang Sen Festival to review the festival's organization and the inauguration of the statue of President Ho Chi Minh visiting his hometown.

At the meeting, representatives from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism – the permanent agency of the Organizing Committee – presented a detailed report on the implementation of festival activities. Accordingly, the "ceremonial" activities have been meticulously and elaborately prepared, with complete scripts for the flower and incense offering ceremony at Ho Chi Minh Square, the Ho Chi Minh Memorial House in the Kim Lien historical site, and Chung Son Temple. The procession of President Ho Chi Minh's portrait from the memorial house to the Lang Sen stadium has also been meticulously planned with close coordination among relevant units.

In particular, the opening ceremony of the Lotus Village Festival, combined with the inauguration of the statue "Uncle Ho Visiting His Hometown," scheduled for 8:00 PM on May 15th, will be broadcast live on VTV and NTV, with the participation of hundreds of artists and trainees from cultural and artistic forces under the Ministry of Public Security.

Regarding the "festival" aspect, many outstanding events were meticulously prepared, including: the "Singing of Lang Sen Village" performance with the participation of 29 amateur art troupes from provinces and cities nationwide; the "ASEAN Countries and People" photo exhibition with the presence of ambassadors, consuls, and international photographers; the "Ho Chi Minh - The Most Beautiful Name" exhibition with the participation of central museums and 15 provinces and cities; a film week about President Ho Chi Minh with numerous screenings and artist exchanges at schools, military units, and folk theaters; the 29th National Traditional Wrestling Championship with the participation of 15 teams of athletes; the Festival Sports Competition; the "Journey Following in the Footsteps of President Ho Chi Minh" Marathon; and the special closing art program "From Lang Sen Village to Ho Chi Minh City".

Furthermore, communication efforts were implemented early and synchronously, including organizing press conferences, finalizing the festival's visual identity, developing visual promotional materials, and signing communication contracts with central and local media outlets. Emphasis was also placed on promoting the festival through social media, local radio systems, and new communication channels to widely disseminate the festival's message and image to all segments of the population.

Notably, the "President Ho Chi Minh Visiting His Hometown" statue and supporting facilities at Lang Sen Stadium have been largely completed. Items such as the statue pedestal, landscaping, lighting, irrigation system, tree planting, curbs, sidewalks, retaining walls, and groundwork have been constructed simultaneously, ensuring completion before April 30th to serve the important event.

Some initially planned activities, such as the "Lotus" Tourism Queen contest, the Lotus culinary space, and the youth camp, could not be implemented due to insufficient social resources and the timing of landscape construction.

Concluding the meeting, Mr. Bui Dinh Long, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, affirmed that the Lotus Village Festival is a major event for the province in 2025, with the participation of many Party and State leaders, and has special significance in promoting the image of Nghe An to the whole country and international friends. Therefore, relevant departments and agencies need to focus intensely and successfully complete the assigned tasks.

The Culture sector needs to develop detailed plans for each activity, while strengthening inspection and supervision to ensure that all events are organized according to plan, with quality and safety. Vinh City and Nam Dan District are responsible for beautifying roads, ensuring environmental hygiene in event areas, and creating a clean and beautiful landscape for residents and tourists. The electricity sector must have a specific plan to ensure stable and continuous electricity supply throughout the festival activities.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested that departments, agencies, and localities mobilize forces and coordinate effectively in implementing the assigned tasks, especially in art programs, processions, visual propaganda and promotion, and the reception of delegates and guests, ensuring that the 2025 Lotus Village Festival is organized solemnly, profoundly, and strongly spreads the image of the beloved homeland of President Ho Chi Minh.
