(Baonghean.vn) - Recently, the environmental pollution situation in rural areas of Nghe An has become quite complicated, especially with all kinds of waste being dumped all over the roadsides, flooding canals, hills, and yards... while local authorities have not yet found a solution to handle it.

The government has contracted with units to transport waste to the Nghi Yen Solid Waste Treatment Complex in Nghi Yen commune, Nghi Loc district. Regarding the waste situation in Dien Bich commune, the district is directing the commune to soon have a plan to contract with environmental treatment units to relocate the landfill. Currently, 16 communes in the area bury waste at the Hong Son landfill, the remaining 17 communes handle it themselves by burying waste in the area, or collecting and burning waste manually.
