Diario Gol (Spain) reported that Marco Asensio sent an ultimatum to Real Madrid that he would leave if Eden Hazard arrived in the summer of 2018. The newspaper also revealed that the young Spanish star's destination is Man City, where he will work with coach Pep Guardiola.
Hazard is considered Real's number one target as coach Zidane has long expressed his admiration for the Chelsea star. Hazard's arrival will be a blockbuster that will help Real regain its image on the transfer market after being quiet in recent seasons.
However, this could be the end of one of Castilla's brightest talents, Marco Asensio. The 21-year-old attacking midfielder is a close student of coach Zinedine Zidane, but the ability to compete for a place in the attack when Hazard is present is very difficult. Apart from the BBC trio, the remaining position is often reserved for Isco.

Hazard's deal may have to wait until after the 2018 World Cup to be completed. The Belgian midfielder wants to focus on his journey to conquer the gold cup with the national team. In the tournament this summer, Belgium is considered a potential candidate with the most qualified squad at present.
Meanwhile, Asensio is likely to be called up to the Spanish national team for the 2018 World Cup. After that, the player will decide his future depending on Real's transfer situation. With impressive performances at the end and beginning of this season, it will not be difficult for Asensio to find a new destination.
