Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Real Madrid have finalized a loan deal for striker Endrick to Olympique Lyon, aiming to give him more playing opportunities.

Agreement finalized

Real Madrid have reached an agreement to loan young striker Endrick to Olympique Lyon during the winter transfer window. According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the deal has been finalized and will be officially completed when the Ligue 1 transfer window opens on January 1st.

This move is believed to be aimed at giving the Brazilian player more playing time to gain experience and maintain his form, with the goal of participating in the 2026 World Cup.

The reason Endrick is seeking new opportunities.

Endrick faced a rocky start at Real Madrid after missing the FIFA Club World Cup and the pre-season due to injury. This made it difficult for him to integrate with the team under coach Xabi Alonso.

The Spanish strategist has been very limited in his use of the 19-year-old striker. Endrick only made his season debut in November and has played a total of 99 minutes so far, mostly in the match against lower-division side Talavera in the Copa del Rey.

Lyon: An ideal destination

Olympique Lyon had been pursuing Endrick for weeks and were considered the most suitable destination. The decisive factor giving the French team the advantage was that they had frequently played without a true center forward this season, thus opening up a nearly guaranteed starting opportunity for the young Brazilian talent.

During the summer transfer window, Lyon faced financial penalties and were forced to sell players to balance their budget, making it impossible for them to find a suitable replacement for Georges Mikautadze. Currently, their attack relies heavily on loaned striker Martin Satriano.

Details of the agreement and future

According to the terms, Lyon will pay 50% of Endrick's salary. More importantly, the loan agreement does not include a buy-out clause. This shows that Endrick remains part of Real Madrid's long-term plans.

The striker, born in 2006, still harbors ambitions to establish himself at Santiago Bernabéu and is expected to return to the Spanish capital next summer after finishing his time playing in France.
