Zidane's team set a new unbeaten record by holding Sevilla to a 3-3 draw in the second leg of the Copa del Rey round of 16.

Goals: Danilo 10' own goal, Jovetic 54', Iborra 77' - Asensio 48', Ramos 83' penalty, Benzema 90'+3

The draw against Sevilla marked Real Madrid's 40th consecutive unbeaten match. This is a new record in Spanish football, surpassing the previous record of 39 matches shared by Real Madrid and Barcelona.

Sevilla could have stopped Real's record if they had held onto their lead in the final minutes of the match. Until the 82nd minute, the home team at the Sanchez Pizjuan stadium was leading 3-1. In the last 10 minutes, Real pulled two goals back thanks to a Panenka-style penalty from Sergio Ramos and the decisive goal from Benzema.

Having won the first leg 3-0, Real Madrid rested several key players in the second leg, including Ronaldo, Modric, and Varane. This may have allowed Sevilla to control the game and find ways to score against goalkeeper Kiko Casilla. From the tenth to the 77th minute, the home team took the lead three times thanks to an own goal by defender Danilo, goals from Steven Jovetic, and Vicente Iborra.

Real Madrid started the second half with a resurgence, including an equalizer from Marco Asensio's solo run. As the match progressed, Zidane's team became increasingly effective in attack. In the 83rd minute, captain Ramos reduced the deficit to 2-3 with a Panenka-style penalty. Then, in the third minute of added time, Benzema leveled the score at 3-3 with a shot that deflected off defender Lenglet and into the net.
