Redmi K90 Ultra revealed: 10,000mAh battery, launching earlier than expected.
The Redmi K90 Ultra unexpectedly appeared on GSMA, revealing plans for an early launch in April 2026 along with groundbreaking specifications including a 10,000mAh battery and Dimensity 9500 Plus chip.
A new Xiaomi smartphone with model number 2604FRK1EC, believed to be the Redmi K90 Ultra, has just been recorded in the GSMA database. This information not only reveals impressive specifications but also indicates a significant shift in the brand's product launch strategy.
Signals of a strategic shift
Traditionally, the Redmi K-series Ultra is usually introduced around August each year. However, early registration on GSMA suggests that the Redmi K90 Ultra may be launched earlier, expected in April or May 2026. This move indicates that Xiaomi may be looking to accelerate its product cycle to enhance its competitiveness in the market.

Impressive hardware specifications
Based on supply chain sources, the Redmi K90 Ultra is expected to boast powerful specifications. The device will be equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Plus processor, a chip focused on optimizing artificial intelligence (AI) processing performance and improving heat dissipation.
The most notable feature is the massive 10,000mAh battery. To integrate such a large battery while maintaining a slim design, Xiaomi is said to have employed high-energy-density battery technology, resulting in a body thickness of only about 8.6mm. This is a significant step forward in balancing battery life and product aesthetics.

Exclusive distribution and international version
Similar to its predecessors, the Redmi K90 Ultra is expected to be exclusively distributed in the Chinese market. However, international users will still have the opportunity to experience this product under a different name. It's highly likely that the device will be refined and launched globally under a name belonging to the Xiaomi T series, possibly the Xiaomi 16T Pro or 17T Pro, in the second half of 2026.
