Reportedly, the vessel NA 0848 TS, captained by Bui Van Si (born in 1985, residing in Tan Hai Hamlet, Quynh Phuong Ward), has 6 crew members and is engaged in herring fishing in the waters off Nghe An province bordering Thanh Hoa province, approximately 15 nautical miles from the mainland.
