Information from Quynh Phuong Border Guard Station, Hoang Mai Town said that at 7:30 a.m. on March 14, 2017, while working at coordinates 190 170 N - 1050 57 E, crew member Bui Van Hanh (born 1960) fell into the sea.

Although the crew on the fishing boat NA 0848TS promptly picked him up and performed first aid on the spot, and the Quynh Phuong Border Guard Station sent a canoe to transport him to shore for emergency treatment, fisherman Hanh died on the way to the mainland.

It is known that the NA 0848 TS ship, captained by Mr. Bui Van Sy (born in 1985, in Tan Hai block, Quynh Phuong ward), has 6 crew members and works as an anchovy fisherman in the Nghe An sea bordering Thanh Hoa, about 15 nautical miles from the mainland.
