In his opening remarks at the ceremony, the leader of the commune's People's Committee emphasized:Hang Bua Festival is a traditional festival. It has become a source of pride for countless generations, a place where people from within and outside the locality entrust their thoughts and feelings. The Hang Bua Festival has a strong vitality within the flow of our cultural roots.

Hang Bua is not only a scenic spot blessed by nature with pristine beauty, but it is also historically significant as a place where the resistance fighters of Commander Lang Van Thiet fought against the French colonialists. In 1937, King Bao Dai - the last king of the Nguyen dynasty - visited this place to admire the mystical beauty of Hang Bua.
The Hang Bua Festival is unique, containing elements of traditional folk culture of the Thai ethnic group, serving as a gathering place and preservation site for rich traditional cultural features reflecting the ethnic identity.

The festival consists of two parts. In the ceremonial part, the shaman and dignitaries perform rituals at the Muong Chieng Ngam temple with offerings prepared by the organizing committee and the seven villages using local produce. These offerings are presented to commemorate the merits of the three patron deities of the village: Xieu Bo, Xieu Ke, and Xieu Luong, who are credited with founding the village.

Following that is the festival with traditional sports competitions such as: crossbow shooting, stilt walking, tò mạc lè (a traditional game), throwing the ball, and tug-of-war. On the evening of February 18th, there will be a folk art performance competition for the cluster of communes: Châu Tiến, Châu Thắng, and Châu Bính.
