Harvesters are bustling across the summer-autumn rice fields in Nghe An.

In the last days of August, farmers in Nghe An are busily harvesting their summer-autumn rice crop. Amidst the atmosphere of welcoming National Day on September 2nd, the rhythmic sound of harvesting machines fills the fields, creating a vibrant and joyful scene.

lua 23 — According to information from the Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection, the entire province will plant over 68,000 hectares of rice during the 2026 Summer-Autumn crop season. Of this, over 48,000 hectares will be for Summer-Autumn rice and over 20,000 hectares for Autumn rice. Currently, the Nghe An Department of Agriculture does not have data on average rice yields, but based on preliminary assessments and reports from localities, over 6,000 hectares of rice in some areas (Yen Thanh, Hop Minh, Quan Thanh, Van Tu, Giai Lac, Tan Chau, Anh Chau, Minh Chau, Thuan Trung, Van Kieu, etc.) will have a high percentage of empty or partially filled grains.
