Bustling highland markets in Nghe An on the occasion of Independence Day September 2

During the holidays, the markets in the remote mountains of Western Nghe An become even more bustling and crowded. In addition to trading and exchanging agricultural products and local goods, the markets also have sports, cultural and charity competitions connecting the villages.

kéo co mường chon — In Binh Chuan commune, Con Cuong district, there is Muong Chon market. The market is held once a month on the third Sunday of the month. The venue is in Binh Chuan commune, a remote commune of Con Cuong district, Nghe An province, bordering Tuong Duong and Quy Hop districts. However, the August market, held on the occasion of the National Day September 2, is more special than usual, so there are also tug-of-war competitions and art performances between villages and hamlets.
