Ronaldo wants to return to Manchester United under Amorim.

With Cristiano Ronaldo's contract with Al-Nassr having only one year left, his future has become a topic of great interest to many.

Despite being 39 years old and turning 40 in February 2025, Ronaldo still maintains an impressive goal-scoring record in the Saudi Pro League and could continue playing for a long time. Speculation has surfaced about a possible move to Al-Hilal to fill the void left by Neymar's departure. A key factor in Ronaldo's return to Manchester United is his close relationship with Ruben Amorim, who is currently the manager at Old Trafford. Ronaldo and Amorim were teammates on the Portuguese U21 team, and their relationship is believed to be quite close. Meanwhile, Louis Saha, a former friend of Ronaldo's at MU, believes the striker would be very willing to return to the club if invited by his close friend.

Saha told Betfred: “Ronaldo would certainly want to return to Manchester United in a role where he is respected. Although his previous departure from the club wasn't under ideal circumstances, the players and fans understand what he's saying. Ruben Amorim wouldn't sign Ronaldo just because they're friends. Amorim would only do that if he believed Ronaldo could help the team.”

Although Ronaldo left Manchester United after disagreements with manager Erik ten Hag in November 2022, his contributions to the Red Devils during his second stint with the club are undeniable. Ronaldo scored 27 goals in 54 appearances and is always ready to accept new challenges. If Amorim believes he can bring about a change at Manchester United, Ronaldo will not hesitate to return.
