Job opportunities are abundant in Nghe An.
After the Lunar New Year, the demand for jobs among workers in Nghe An province increased significantly, driven by a desire to stay in their hometowns. Businesses also offered many attractive incentives in an effort to fill all the positions in their production lines.
Workers who wish to work in their hometowns.
Through the media, Nguyen Linh Chi, from Tan Son commune, Do Luong district, learned that Nghe An province would be holding its first job fair of 2025 on February 8th at the VSIP Industrial Park. She prepared all the necessary qualifications and documents to be ready to apply within the specified timeframe. With a bachelor's degree from the National Economics University, job opportunities could be abundant for her in major cities; however, this young woman born in 2002 wants to return to her hometown of Nghe An to work.

Linh Chi shared: “After graduating in 2024, many companies and businesses in Hanoi were looking to hire with quite high starting salaries. However, I wanted to be close to my family and didn't want to work far away. Therefore, I decided to look for opportunities in my hometown, even though the income might be lower, because in return I could be with my parents, have peace of mind, and avoid the high cost of living in big cities.”
After a day of research, Linh Chi decided to apply to a company in the VSIP Nghe An Industrial Park that matched her business administration degree and enrolled in Chinese language classes to facilitate communication at the company.

After working in Japan for 7 years, Mr. Nguyen Van Quang, from Hanh Quang commune, Dien Chau district, decided to return home to find stable employment, not wanting to continue struggling abroad. After the Lunar New Year, seeing job postings from businesses in the VSIP Nghe An Industrial Park, especially those needing around 36,000 unskilled laborers, Mr. Quang decided to give it a try.
Quang shared: "After working abroad in Japan, I managed to build a house and pay off some of my family's debts, and I even had a small amount of capital to start a business. However, now that my parents are getting old, I don't want to be away anymore, so I decided to return. Luckily, businesses are hiring unskilled laborers, so we meet all the criteria. Although the salary isn't comparable to before, I accept it to have a stable life in my hometown."

At the first job fair of 2025 held in Hung Nguyen district, according to our reporter's observations, not only young workers but also many middle-aged workers were present. Most of these workers had spent their youth working far from home in the South and North, and now returned to seek employment in their hometown. Many, instead of sticking to year-round farming, have tried their hand at less skilled jobs in industrial zones that still offer decent incomes.
Ms. Phan Thi Canh, residing in Hung Nguyen town, shared: "Hearing that the job fair was being held right in the district, I was very excited and eagerly awaited the day to apply. Although I'm over 40, it's difficult to find jobs requiring high physical strength and skills. However, there are still businesses recruiting up to 50-year-olds for assistant positions or factory cleaning and maintenance with salaries ranging from 5 to 6 million VND, not including overtime. This income is quite good; it's hard to earn that much as a farmer."

According to statistics, Nghe An province currently has over 1.6 million workers, accounting for nearly 50% of the province's total population (3.3 million people). However, in reality, up to 700,000 workers are currently working outside the province and nearly 100,000 are working abroad. Therefore, the task of helping workers "leave farming but not leave their homeland" is of particular concern to relevant departments and localities. Encouragingly, from 2024 to the present, the trend of workers gradually returning to Nghe An to establish careers has been steadily increasing.
Strengthening the connection between labor supply and demand.
The first Job Fair of 2025, organized by Nghe An province at the VSIP Nghe An Industrial Park, was one of the important events, opening up many job opportunities for workers seeking employment in various fields in Nghe An, as well as helping businesses recruit a large workforce to meet the requirements of production and business operations. 24 businesses participated in the job fair, offering over 42,000 job positions, including 36,000 unskilled workers and over 4,000 trained workers.
According to the Southeast Economic Zone Management Board, in 2025, Nghe An province will organize two more labor supply-demand matching events through job fairs at Nam Cam Industrial Park and Hoang Mai 1 Industrial Park.

Given the potential and advantages of an abundant labor force, businesses are also implementing recruitment policies with suitable criteria and attractive benefits to attract workers.
Luxshare - ICT Nghe An operates in the electrical and electronics sector, employing nearly 11,000 workers. In 2025 and subsequent years, the company plans to recruit an additional 33,000 workers and administrative staff, including accountants, engineers, and others.
A representative from the company stated that employees will earn between 7 million and 30 million VND per month, depending on their position. In addition to the standard salary, workers also receive various allowances such as housing allowance (for those renting accommodation), transportation allowance, attendance bonus, seniority bonus, meal allowance, etc., totaling over 2 million VND per person per month. Notably, the company has a dormitory providing free, fully equipped accommodation for its workers.

Everwin Precision Technology Co., Ltd. in VSIP Nghe An Industrial Park is also looking to recruit over 2,300 workers in the electronics sector, committing to competitive salaries and benefits commensurate with the job position and providing convenient dormitory accommodation; An Nam Matsuoka Garment Co., Ltd. needs to recruit 2,000 workers with many attractive benefits such as salaries starting from 5.5 million VND/month for unskilled workers, allowances/subsidies from over 1.3 million VND/month or more, Tet bonus of 1.5 months' basic salary, bus and housing allowance support... Notably, the company will consider recruiting workers up to 50 years old depending on the suitable position…
At the job fair held at VSIP Hung Nguyen Industrial Park, Mr. Bui Thanh An, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, emphasized that this is an important event for both workers and businesses. He stressed the need to replicate this model of connecting labor supply and demand in the future, especially in localities with potential and advantages in labor resources like Nghe An.
Businesses and local authorities need to do a good job of publicizing job fairs before, during, and after the event to create appeal and widespread, thorough, and specific information for the people. In the long term, it is necessary to establish job information websites for each industrial park; publicly and transparently disclose job information, salary and bonus policies, housing, and social welfare benefits to ensure greater, more frequent, and continuous interaction; and widely and specifically implement these measures down to the village, hamlet, and individual worker…

The Management Board of the Southeast Economic Zone, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the Department of Education and Training, the People's Committees of districts, cities and towns, schools, job placement centers and businesses need to have long-term coordination and cooperation regulations covering career guidance, educational streaming, vocational training and job placement for the province's young people after graduation.
Especially in high-demand fields in Nghe An such as electrical engineering, electronics, automation, and information technology; these require skills in: foreign languages, seriousness and discipline, responsibility in work, communication, behavior, and corporate culture…
