Two students in Nghe An drowned while swimming in a pond.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 12th, Mr. Nguyen Cong Nong, Chairman of the People's Committee of Thanh Ngoc commune, Thanh Chuong district, announced that a tragic drowning incident had occurred in the area, resulting in the deaths of two students.
According to initial information, at around 5 PM on May 11th, NCT and NCT (born in 2007, residing in Block 13, Thanh Chuong town, Thanh Chuong district) along with 2-3 other students went to the pumping station area in Ru Nguoc (Ngoc Minh hamlet, Thanh Ngoc commune) to swim.
Afterward, the children went to a pond next to National Highway 46 to swim again, where two of them drowned.

Upon discovering the incident, local residents pulled the two children ashore and administered initial first aid, but unfortunately, they could not be saved...
Upon receiving the report, authorities arrived at the scene to investigate and clarify the incident. Later that evening, the bodies of the children were handed over to their families for burial according to local customs.
